Top sites you can get job offers if you are in Nigeria

No Father or Uncle will help you o.

If you have someone promising you a job, while waiting also take some proactive steps.

If you are looking for a job apart from the soft skill aspect of networking finding a job is a job on its own.

If you are in Nigeria, your job search can be facilitated by using any of these digital tools and platforms. Here are four of them that's as being helpful for me:

~ LinkedIn: LinkedIn is a professional networking platform that allows you to create a profile, connect with professionals, follow companies, and search for job postings. If you are not there then you are completely missing out. A simple Google search of it can take you there.

~ Jobberman: I once joked with this one but I cannot lie when I finished updating my profile here, I have in the past received calls from some of their Hiring Managers (HRs) after tailoring my application to some of the jobs I applied for. Jobberman is one of Nigeria's leading job search websites you must not joke with if you are looking for jobs.

~ MyJobMag: I so much love the user experience of this online site. The Vacancy arrangement/sorting and job descriptions here, you will so much love it. MyJobMag is another prominent job search platform offering job listings, company reviews, and career resources that will be helpful in your career pursuits.

~ Nigeria Internship Portal: If you are still an undergraduate or a fresh graduate looking for internships, fresh graduate jobs, or SIWES programs, this is an online platform you can also look out for. You can follow them as they share fresh internships and job posts on their social media handles. An Instagram or Facebook search of them will be a good way to start.

Note: There are many other platforms or job search tools you can use. These are just a few of the ones I have recommended as they have been helpful to me at one time or the other in my career pursuit.

Remember to regularly update your resume or CV on these platforms, tailor your applications to specific job requirements, and network with professionals in your field to enhance your job search prospects.

Now an Alumnus of the Carrington Youth Network (CYN)

Thankfully I have completed my one year fellowship of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative program. I'm now officially inducted into the Carrington Fellowship Network as an Alumnus. I'm grateful for the journey so far and the great people I have met in the program. Looking forward having a continuous reflection and building long lasting partnerships and opportunities to scale my impact.

Love Yourself, Even Alone.

One aspect of life that I never get tired of preaching about is the concept of self-love . Self-love is an essential component of a fulfilling life, and it's crucial to learn to love yourself even when others may not. When you love yourself, you're more likely to have positive relationships, make better decisions, and enjoy a sense of inner peace and contentment. It's important to remember that not everyone will appreciate or accept you for whom you are, and that's okay. People have their own beliefs, preferences, and biases that can influence how they view others. However, it's essential to focus on your own self-worth and not let the opinions of others define your sense of self. Learning to love yourself takes time and practice. It’s an everyday struggle that I myself have to deal with, especially at the start of my career and involvement with friends and strangers. It involves acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses, embracing your imperfections, and trea...

Teaching in an underserved school like mine has been a challenging and rewarding experience - 5 things I learned.

I teach in a low-income farming community called Joga Orile, a small village in the part of Yewa North Ogun state, Nigeria. When I got to this community, I realize that the community only has one public primary school among many private schools. But when checking the private schools here, the numbers of pupils are not many compare to my school but there is this challenge of limited resources to satisfy the large pool of pupils that most times can't afford to buy learning materials like notebooks, textbooks, rulers, etc. At some times in my fellowship here as a Teach For Nigeria fellow I am glad to have received support from friends and some civil society organizations to come to help curb this challenge. I know there is more work to be done and I will never stop until I drive for better innovation and policies to be designed and implemented to battle this problem. I'm almost getting to the end of my fellowship here in this community and I will like to share 5 things I lear...
